It's Over for Beauchamp and TNR

Assuming the above-linked report from The Weekly Standard is correct, TNR has enough egg on its face to feed an Army platoon.

Seems that Private Beauchamp, on the very first day of the Army's official investigation, voluntarily offered to sign a sworn statement that all three articles published in The New Republic were almost entirely false.

Some folks are predicting spin from the leftymedia... I, personally, think it's 60-40 that they'll go completely silent on this story, since having it exposed to the non-blog-reading public would show them just how far the leftymedia will go to bash the military, the war, the GOP, and the President. On second thought, make that 70-30 in favor of silence.
