The planet that has warmed by 1.17 degrees Fahrenheit is Mars, not the Earth.
So, there's two plausible explanations for this:
- The Martians are all driving SUVs, using incandescent lights, and electing Republican leaders.
- The warming trend on both Mars and Earth are due to a source separate from both of them... like, say, the Sun.
